- Heartsaver CPR and AED

Learn AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) use, CPR, and relief of choking in adults, children, and infants (children under 1 year), warning signs of heart attack, and when to call for help.  This class is good for child-care professionals, coaches, teachers, and anyone interested in learning these lifesaving skills.   

- Heartsaver First Aid

Learn the general principles of First Aid, how to respond to medical emergencies, accidents, injuries, and environmental emergencies (insect and animal bites, poisoning, burns, and more).  Participants will practice skills that include bandaging and splinting.  This class is good for child-care professionals, coaches, teachers, and anyone interested in learning these lifesaving skills.     

- Healthcare Provider CPR

Learn adult and pediatric CPR, including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask, foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious), AED, special resuscitation situations, and other cardiopulmonary emergencies.  This course is good for Physicians, Nurses, and other Medical professionals. 






















- Defensive Driving

The goal is to provide drivers with knowledge and safe driving techniques to prevent collisions and violations.  This course focuses on collision prevention through hazard recognition and the applicaiton of collision-avoidance techniques.  In addition, the course addresses common driving violations that result in collisions and how to change driving habits to eliminate violations. 

Upon completion of the course, participants can obtain up to a two point driving reduction on their drivers license and a percentage off their car insurance. 

- Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens


Learn the OSHA Bloodborne Standard, transmission , detection, and prevention of infectious diseases such as Hepatitis B and C, HIV and Aids, TB, Influenza, and other potentially infectious materials. This course is good for Healthcare professionals (approved for required yearly OSHA training), child-care professionals, teachers, coaches, or anyone interested in this informative topic.

- Basic Pediatric First Aid


Learn how to respond to injuries and sudden illness in infants and children including  bleeding and wound care, shock, burns, bone, joint, and muscle injuries, poisoning, cold and heat emergencies, asthma, seizures, and diabetic emergencies. Participants will practice skills that include bandaging and splinting. This course is good for child-care professionals, teachers, coaches, parents, and anyone interested in learning these lifesaving skills.

III. American Safety & Health Institute

- Child and Babysitting Safety


This is a program that covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children such as: handling telephone calls/when a stranger knocks, water hazards, infant and child feeding, basic first aid care, diapering procedures, and choking.  This course is good for students aged 11 and up who are either thinking of becomming a babysitter or are already babysitting.

- Disaster Preparedness

 

- Disasters come in two forms, natural and man made and can strike without warning.  Your only defense is your ability to be prepared.  This program helps you to prepare for a disaster and devise a strategy that encompasses the necessary steps that must be taken before, during, and after a disaster.  This course is good for anyone interested in this topic vital to todays times. 

- Pet First Aid


The Pet First Aid Program provides information on caring for dogs and cats as well as guidance about when pets should be taken to the veterinarian for professional care.  This program was reviewed by the ASPCA panel of nationally renowned veterinarians, veterinary toxicologists, animal behaviorists, and animal science specialists.  This course received the ASPCA Seal of Approval.
